Welcome to kakkanattil family web page, here I want to portrait a family on a large canvas of a multicultural village.

The change in life style of the people is an inevitable aspect of human life. It can be visible when you have couple of years piled on your mind. The quest for change is deep rooted among the peasants of that age.

The back bone of kerala is the history of migration. There are two transitional migrations are still inevitable in our socio economic existence. First one is the large scale migration of peasants from the ‘state’ to the radius of Malabar highlands. The second one is the bulk move of unskilled labours to the gulf and skilled labours to the rest of the world.

This transition starts in the middle of 1920’s in central Kerala. It was a mass transformation of peasants to the Malabar "with will and power of mind in hand".

In 1970’s the out come was a massive move from Malabar to the gulf region. In 21st century we are in the move of another transition. You can find the presence of keralites all over the world.
